A couple of years ago, Google adsense was the primary means of income to most bloggers. Not any more, bloggers are becoming more aware of the fact that the there are other forms of revenue streams. Affiliate marketing is hitting a all time high, with so many blogs ditching adsense for better streams.
The problem with adsense is that you drive a customer to the advertiser’s website, but the relevancy of the topics is narrow and the probability of a purchase is very less. PPC is dying away, and pay per action is the hero. Amazon has been a very good medium for bloggers, while commission junction and click bank have lucrative offers. A newly launched program from facebook is also reported to be doing well.
What do you need to split your eggs?
1. Sign up for accounts in the affiliate marketing cloud.
2. Drive traffic.
3. Even if one of the revenue streams is not doing well or gets banned, you have the other streams working and doing good.
Never put all your egss in one basket. In fact, I recommend having multiple baskets, if you are money minded like me.
