Tangled Up in Blue has been performing at events such as benefit concerts, high school assemblies, private parties, a cappella invitationals and competitions, and for an assortment of campus organizations since our founding in the spring of 1999. 

In May 2002, the group released their first CD entitled "State Street," a collaborative effort with one of the all-male groups on campus,  the UW MadHatters. "State Street" received national recognition with two songs featured on 2002's "Best of Collegiate A Cappella" CD.

Since then, Tangled has performed at colleges across the Midwest, such as Washington University-St. Louis, Northwestern University, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Michigan State University-East Lansing, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, to name a few.

Unraveled, Tangled's first full-length album, was released in the Fall of 2004. 

In February 2005, Tanlged competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA's), earning the title of Midwest semifinal champion, and continued on to place third in the regional final.

Soon after finishing the competition, the group was back in the studio completing work on our second full-length album, Hole in the Roof, released in fall 2005.

Tangled Up in Blue will be releasing their third full-length album, The Blue Book, December 2007 at a special cd release concert.  We would love to see you there!
